Цели урока:
1. Развивать умения понимать текст на слух с общим охватом содержания.
2. Контроль лексических навыков по теме «Animals in Danger».
3. Развивать умение читать и говорить на основе услышанного.
Ход урока
Организационный момент (приветствие и объяснение целей урока)
- Good morning, boys and girls! I’m glad to see you. (We are glad to see you.)
- How are you today? (We are fine, thanks. And how are you?)
- I am fine too, thanks. Who is absent today? (All are present.)
- Today at our lesson we are going to listen to a wonderful story and discuss it. And at the beginning of our lesson we’ll write a dictation.
2. Проверка домашнего задания (диктант с новыми словами)
- Open your vocabularies, pupils! You have a minute to remember the spelling of the words before dictation.
-Now open your exercise-books and write the date. Today we’ll write a short story about animals in danger.
Текст диктанта
Many wild animals and birds are in danger today. In the past people used to kill them to protect their domestic animals and their lives. Today they kill them for fun and for their beautiful skins.
Tigers and elephants are among them. They have to hide from people in deep forests.
Other animals are disappearing from the Earth too, because their water is not always clean and the air is not fresh even high in the mountains.
We must save wild animals. We must take care of nature.
Учитель сначала читает учащимся текст диктанта целиком, чтобы ученики смогли осознать лексико-смысловые связи. И только после этого приступает к диктовке текста по предложениям или синтагмам.
-Now check up your dictations and the pupils on duty will collect your exercise-books.
3. Фонетическая отработка лексики из текста
- Look at the blackboard, please. You can see the title of the story and the new words on it. Will you read the title of the story?
- Will you translate it?
- OK. Now let’s work with the words, these words will help you to understand this story better.

Read the proper names. What do they mean? (Tonny Russel and Kamal Rai are men’s names. Nepol is the name of a country.)
Do you remember where Nepol is situated? (It is situated in Asia.)

- Now we’ll listen to text for the first time and answer the question «Why did the tiger attack people? »

P1: The tiger attacked people because he is a wild animal.
P2: The tiger attacked people because they saw a dead sheep in the grass.
And it was tiger’s lunch.
P3: The tiger attacked people because he wanted to kill them.
P4: I think was afraid of people, as they appeared suddenly and therefore he attacked them.
P5: I suppose the tiger thought that people wanted to kill him and he decided to attack people earlier.
I see, you have wonderful imagination. I agree with your answers. Now let’s listen to the text again and then you’ll answer my questions.

5. Контроль детального понимания услышанного

3) Did he like the place?

5) What was his friend’s name?

10) Why did they put on shoes and trousers?
11) Whom were they trying to find in the jungle?
12) Was it usual to find tigers in the middle of the day?
13) Why was it unusual?
14) Why did Kamal ask his friend to be quiet, when they saw a tiger?

6.Развитие навыков говорения на основе услышанного
- Now , pupils, look at the blackboard. Remember the story and complete the sentences.
На доске записаны предложения, которые необходимо закончить информацией из текста.

Ученики по одному читают предложения. Учитель корректирует работу учащихся, задавая вопросы.
-Do you agree with him\her? Is it right?
-OK. And now put these sentences in the order they are given in the text to make an outline of the story.
-Thank you, pupils. Now I want to work in pairs and tell the story to each other. Use the sentences from the blackboard as a plan.
Ученики в парах составляют пересказы и рассказывают друг другу. Учитель корректирует работу учащихся.
-Well, pupils and at home you will think of your own end of the story and then tell it to your classmates.
7. Подведение итогов урока
Учитель подводить итоги урока и оценивает работу учащихся.
