10. Прощание.

- Good afternoon, my dear friends! I’m very glad to see you. Sit down, please.

- So, today we are going to have an unusual lesson. Look at the board, please.

- You can see a poem here. I’m going to read it and your task is to guess what the theme of our lesson is.

Spring is green.

Summer is bright.

Autumn is yellow.

Winter is white.

- So, what are we going to speak about today?
- Right you are. The theme of our lesson is “Seasons and Weather”.
- Let’s remember the words which we’ve learnt at the previous lesson. I’ve written them on the board. Who can read them? Read the words after me, please.

Will you read them in pairs?

- Read the words with the sound [i], please.
- Read the words with the sound [w], please.
- Read the words with the sound [d], please.
- Good for you. Now I’ll show pictures and you’ll name the word, which you associate with it (Приложение 1).
- Different people like different seasons. What seasons do you like and why? Use the table on your desk (Приложение 2), make up true sentences and read them aloud. For example, I like summer because it is hot and sunny. And what about you?

- Now I’m sure you know much about seasons and weather. Divide into groups of four, please, and then describe the pictures of the seasons, using the example on the board (Приложение 3). You’ve got 4 minutes and then one of you must go to the board and describe one of the pictures.
- Let’s check what you’ve done.

- I see that you are tired. Let’s rest a little. Some exercises are for you. Listen and act.

You are walking along the street to school. You have a heavy bag in your left hand. The day is sunny but frosty. Your nose and cheeks are cold. Suddenly you see a boy playing snowballs. You put down your bag, pick up some snow, make some snowballs and throw them into the boy -1, 2, 3. It’s funny. Oh, but what about school? You take your bag and quickly run to school. You open the door, come in, wave your friends “hello”. Oh, you are not late! Thank you. Sit down, please.

- So, it’s high time to speak about your favourite seasons.

- Firstly, listen to the dialogue between two friends and say what season they are talking about.

-What season is mentioned?

- Well done!

- Secondly, you’ve got an example of the dialogue on your desks (Приложение 4). Let’s read it together and then discuss what other questions can be asked.

-Give the examples of your questions, please.
- Excellent! Now make up your own dialogues about your favourite seasons. You’ll have 5 minutes on this task.

- Time is over. Let’s check what you’ve done.

- Very well. Thank you.

- As is known children like to recite poems and sing songs. Today we shall learn the new song (Приложение 5). Listen to it, please.

- Do you like it?

- What is it about?

- What seasons are mentioned in it?

- Sing it with me and then alone.
- So, we’ve done great work today.

- Tell me, please, what we were doing?

- What words have you remembered?
- I see. Now open your diaries and write down your home task - Ex. 3, p. 202 (learn the text of the song, we have already sung, by heart)

- Everyone worked hard at this lesson. But the most active pupils were …, their answers were quite correct so that they get excellent marks. The others get four as there were some pronunciation and grammar mistakes in their speech.

- The lesson is over. Goodbye!
